Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of murder after Shaquan Mario Fearon was stabbed to death in Brockley.

The 17-year-old victim died from a stab wound to the leg after a knife fight on Thursday evening.

Met Police officers were called to Spalding House, Turnham Road, at around 6.15pm to reports of a fight in progress.

Officers found two 17-year-old males suffering stab wounds who were taken by paramedics to a south London hospital.

One of the teenagers - named by police today as Shaquan Mario Fearon - died shortly after arriving in hospital.

A post mortem examination carried out at Greenwich mortuary confirmed that Shaquan died from a stab wound to the leg.

Police cordoned off Spalding House in Brockley yesterday (September 4).

The other victim, named on social media as Junior, was treated for a stab wound and has now been discharged from hospital.

The two teenage suspects remain in custody at a south London police station and enquiries into the murder continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Reynolds of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, who leads the investigation, said: "Our initial enquiries have established that there were several people in the area at the time Shaquan was attacked.

"We have had a positive response from the local community but I would urge anyone who saw this incident and has yet to come forward, please contact my team."
