A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an armed crime spree. 

Police appealed for information after 13 armed robberies took place across Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich in the last month.

A man was arrested this morning (September 3) in connection with the investigation.

The 32-year-old from Croydon was arrested just before 11.30am in Lewisham.

MORE TOP STORIES The robberies took place in betting shops and banks, the latest happening last night (September 2) in the William Hill along Deptford High Street around 8pm. 

The man is currently in custody at a south London police station.
