Warnings have been issued to several men following reports of indecent behaviour on Dartford Heath.

Dartford's Community Safety Unit issued formal warnings to each of the men for engaging in inappropriate sexual activity.

Subsequent violations may result in the sex pests receiving a fixed notice penalty or a civil injunction to prevent such offences recurring.

A spokesperson for Dartford Borough Council said: "Dartford Heath is a place for families and all who want to enjoy the peace and quiet of this wonderful environment.

"They do not wish to have their innocent walks spoiled. Someone needs to stand up for them and the Council's Community Safety Unit is determined to do just that."

Under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, a penalty fine of up to £100 could be issued to the offenders if they were to breach their formal warnings, and if convicted, up to £2,500.

The spokesperson of the council said: "We are absolutely determined to stop offensive and anti-social behaviour on the Heath.
