An Orpington shoplifter who stole mobile phones and tablets worth £17,000 from 15 electrical stores across the UK has been jailed for two years.
Paul Seed, of Arbrook Court, was sentenced on Friday after pleading guilty at Croydon Crown Court to 15 thefts committed between March 2013 and May this year.
The 33-year-old targeted Vodafone, Argos and Carphone Warehouse branches up and down the country stealing iPads and smartphones.
Seed thieved from stores in Nottingham, Southampton and across London including Canary Wharf, Croydon, Tottenham and Ealing.
Police from Croydon CID trawled shop CCTV and identified Seed, who was arrested and charged in June.
Detective Constable Robert Jamieson, from Croydon CID, said: "The custodial sentence given to Seed, a prolific offender, reflects the seriousness of his actions and shows that police and the courts take crimes such as theft seriously."
