Fire fighters helped a horse who collapsed in Chislehurst.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to stables along Hawkwood Lane just before 10 am on Saturday (August 1).
They assisted a vet after a horse collapsed.
MORE TOP STORIES The LFB sent crews which are specially trained in large animal rescues, and they helped move the horse safely out of the stable after he had been sedated by the vet.
Station manager Chris Drew, who was at the scene, said: “When he was out in the open we got him to his feet and back out into the field. Thankfully it was a happy outcome for all concerned.”
The LFB tweeted there was no "horsing around" as they put their animal rescue skills to the test.
One fire engine from Dagenham, a fire rescue unit from Lewisham and around 10 fire fighters attended the incident.
