Clouds of dense smoke billowed into the sky after grass caught fire in Anerley on Sunday evening (August 2).
Fire crews were called at around 4.45pm to grass alight at George Groves Road.
Twenty-one firefighters spent just under two hours tackling the blaze, which damaged three hectares of grass and shrubland.
Four fire engines from Woodside, Beckenham, Bromley and Norbury stations attended.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said no injuries were reported.
Met Police also attended.
