A man was tasered by police after allegedly becoming aggressive and threatening officers in Mottingham.

Shocking footage has emerged showing a stand-off between a man and police which ends in the man being tasered twice.

Video shows the black male, dressed only in a pair of shorts, surrounded by officers and police tape.

The incident unfolded earlier today (August 1) when the London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called to Kimmeridge Road around 11am to reports of a man unconscious after being assaulted.

Both police and paramedics attended the scene and treated a man.

After being taken into an ambulance he then woke up and became “aggressive and threatening” towards them.

Due to his behaviour paramedics left the ambulance.

MORE TOP STORIES Officers then tried to calm the man down so he could be treated, but he allegedly continued to act in a threatening way.

According to a Met police spokesman, the taser was drawn but not discharged while officers continued to negotiate with him.

Fearing they were about to be injured, the man was tasered, falling into the ambulance.

He was then treated by the LAS and taken to hospital.

London's Air Ambulance was also called to the incident.

Eyewitness Stevan Orescanin, said: “I see all these police cars and an ambulance so I parked my car. I saw a lot of commotion around the ambulance, this man got out the ambulance and started shouting at the police. After a bit of shouting he turns round to go back in the ambulance and the police taser him twice.

“I don’t know what happened before then, but I saw some clothes at the side of the street. He was just wearing boxers.”

The 19-year-old, who lives off Kimmeridge Road, added: “When they tasered him he fell over into the ambulance. Paramedics just took care of him. He looked to be in his 20s or 30s.

“There were about 10 to 15 police officers, five or six police cars and an ambulance of course. I heard there was a helicopter around later.”

Mr Orescanin, who works for Abbey Estates in Chislehurst, added: “There was a huge group of about 50 or 60 people around the ambulance.

"I’ve not seen anything like it before, I’ve seen people arrested but not tasered.”

Other witnesses claim the man was tasered three times, but pulled out the charge the first time.

A spokesman for the Met confirmed the man had not been arrested, nor was anyone arrested for the earlier alleged assault.
