A Thamesmead house offering people the London experience for £120-a-night is reportedly being used for late-night parties, causing upset to local residents.

Scott Cowan, 40, has complained to Greenwich Council several times about the home in Aisher Road, which he says plays host to a party nearly every weekend.

The house, listed on TripAdvisor site Holiday Lettings, has only three bedrooms, but is advertised as sleeping 12.

Mr Cowan, who has relatives living in Aisher Road, told News Shopper: "Word's got round that it's a cheap place to have a party.

"The main concern is we do not know what's going to be next.

"My mum had someone peeing in her front garden on Sunday.

"There are all these little silver bottles all over the floor.

"She must feel really stressed out, she cannot do anything.

"She feels really intimidated."

Mr Cowan added that on the weekend of July 25, a 21st birthday at the house went on until 5.30am, despite police being called twice.

Meanwhile a few weeks ago, a family visiting from abroad hosted a three-day extravaganza in the semi-detached house.

He said: "They think they are going to London I suppose.

"It’s not in a hotel, not in a holiday complex, it’s in the middle of the street.

"We are worried because the whole of August is fully booked, and we do not know who's coming in and out."

How the house is advertised on holidaylettings.co.uk

The house is advertised online as a "beautiful" house with a private garden, which is not suitable for children.

An anonymous review from June 2 reads: "Really nice house and in a good area. Would definitely return to stay again.

"We even left a couple of bottles of vodka we didn't drink as a thank you to the owner!"

A Greenwich Council spokesman said: "The Royal Borough is aware of the complaints that have been made.

"These are being investigated, and we will take any necessary action to protect residents from excessive noise or disturbance."
