A lifeboat, police boat and a police helicopter rushed to Erith after a person was spotted trying to jump into the Thames.
Gravesend RNLI were called at 2.15pm today (July 31) to reports of a vulnerable person intent on entering the river.

The Met Police Marine Unit and NPAS Redhill (National Police Air Service Helicopter) were also called into action.
Crews carried out a 20 minute search for the person before they were found by shore side police.
The person was taken into custody.
