Firefighters tackled a blazing shed containing gas cylinders in St Mary Cray last night (July 30).

Twenty-one firefighters spent 90 minutes tackling the blaze, which ripped through a row of garden sheds in Poverest Road.

Two gas cylinders were removed from one shed to prevent an explosion.

One shed was completely destroyed and two others damaged.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said no-one was injured.

Four fire engines from Orpington and Sidcup stations attended.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
