On Monday the trial over the death of young dad Tommy Main began, after the 23-year-old died in June last year whilst playing a punching game at a party.

Desmond Bartley, 21, of Elm Grove, Erith, denies manslaughter.

The trial at Inner London Crown Court is expected to last two weeks.

A Syndeham chef has spoken of her shock after the windows of her miniature brasserie - La Petite Bouchée - were shot out by vandals.

Anita-Clare Field, 47, who runs the eatery in the back of a vintage 1971 Citroën HY Van located inside Sydenham’s Wells Park, was alerted to the damage over the weekend.

A Sidcup man has been banned from football matches for three years for his involvement in the Paris Metro race row.

Video footage emerged earlier this year showing Frenchman Souleymane Sylla being repeatedly pushed off a Metro train in Paris as Chelsea supporters sang "we're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it".

Jordan Munday, 20, of Ellenborough Road, was one of four defendants to deny any wrongdoing at a hearing at Stratford Magistrates' Court.

On Wednesday he was banned from football matches for three years.

An 18-year-old man was arrested after a high-speed police chase, which tore through the streets of Orpington disturbing sleepy residents about to bed down for the night.

Four police cars with sirens wailing were seen following a blue Vauxhall Corsa along Chelsfield Lane at around 11pm on Wednesday (July 22).

On Thursday EastEnders stars ditched Albert Square in favour of a mystery Dartford train station.

Filming took place today at Dartford East station - a fake station which is actually Elstree & Borehamwood near BBC Elstree Centre, where Eastenders is shot.

Scenes involved characters Roxy Mitchell and Charlie Cotton - son of Nasty Nick Cotton - with speculation suggesting they could depict Charlie's exit from the show.
