A police investigation is underway after an unexplained death at a house in Lewisham.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Lewisham Park yesterday (July 8) at around 9.27am to reports of a sudden death.
Officers attended and the man, believed to be aged 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the Met Police said their Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed due to a previous call to the address.
One resident told News Shopper: "Police were at the address in Lewisham Park all day yesterday.
"A woman was seen being taken away from a property in handcuffs and early yesterday evening a body was removed by undertakers.
"A marked police car has remained outside or near the address since."
A woman, aged 42, was arrested and is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
The Met spokesman said: "At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.
"Officers from Lewisham are currently investigating."
