Tributes left on Lynden Road

A 17-year-old Swanley resident looked on as 'eight or nine police cars' flocked to the scene and paramedics performed CPR.

She said: "It was horrible.

"By the time we looked out the car had gone and there was a man lying in the road.

"We could see it all from my sister's, at first we thought it was a joke - sometimes people joke like that in Swanley - then the police arrived.

"His wife came out and sat with him and his family were with him.

"It's been really sad, now you can just see tyre marks where it's happened."

Floral tributes have been left tied to a lamp post on the residential street which has a 20mph speed limit.

One note reads: "To Tommy

"Noone deserves to go the way you did.

"Love from Kizzy Rye, Aunt Angie Rye and Morrisa Rye."
