A 23-year-old man was reportedly robbed 'at knife point' at Gravesend Station at 5am today (July 4) for his cracked iPhone 4, with a broken back.
The victim's partner, who was trying to track down the stolen phone on Facebook, also claimed someone may have tried "setting him alight".
She says the shirt he was wearing smells of petrol and has burnt patches.
Gravesham resident Toni Foster expressed her shock on Facebook, writing: "Oh my god, this place is getting like the Wild West, is it safe to go anywhere here?
"Poor man must have been terrified, I hope the police are there."
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman said: "We were called to Gravesend station at 5.17am on Saturday, July 4, following reports of a theft.
"Officers spoke to a 23-year-old man who reported his wallet and iPhone had been stolen.
"No arrests have been made in relation to the incident."
