A woman in Bexleyheath can no longer sit in her garden after it was invaded by a swarm of "several hundred vicious and highly agitated wasps".
Mum Clare Cronin, whose garden backs onto Martens Grove Park, said the incident happened at around midday on Wednesday (July 1).
She told News Shopper: "A swarm of several hundred wasps swooped into my garden today.
"The wasps were flying very fast and aggressively and the noise could be heard from down the street.
"The wasps are vicious and seem highly agitated.
"The public need to be warned and aware of this sudden high invasion.
"Neither me or my children can sit in our garden now to enjoy the sun."
News Shopper reported in May that London and Kent was set to be invaded by more wasps than ever - the result of a cold winter and mild spring, and with warmer-than-average temperatures forecast for the summer.
