A burst water main part-flooded a road in West Wickham and left some homes without water.
Motorists experienced delays along Wickham Road between Croydon and West Wickham due to the burst water main near the junction with Upper Shirley Road.
Thirty-seven homes in Croydon were left without water or with low pressure during repairs.
Thames Water engineers were onsite fixing the burst pipe from around 6.30am, this morning and completed the work at 2.30pm.

A Thames Water spokesperson said: "We’re sorry to those customers who had no water or low pressure after our pipe burst last night.
"We finished fixing it at 2.30pm this afternoon and water supplies are now back to normal.”
Transport for London Traffic News had tweeted warning drivers to expect delays during peak times and to approach with care due to water on the roads.
Temporary traffic signals were put in place.
