A pet dog was rescued by Kent Fire and Rescue service from a fire in Swanley.
Emergency services were called to a fire in a bedroom at a property in Alder Way yesterday (June 24) at 8.03pm.
On arrival crews were faced with smoke billowing from a top floor window.
After forcing entry due to the occupants not being home, firefighters managed to rescue a pet dog from the house.
Firefighters then used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in a back bedroom.
The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault.
