A woman is being treated for head and chest injuries after her car 'smashed into a lampost' in Thamesmead.
Emergency services were called to Western Way opposite Belmarsh prison in Thamesmead at 13:45 to reports that a car had hit a lampost and turned upside down.
London Ambulance attended and treated a woman with head and chest injuries.
The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Emergency services remain on the scene and Western Way is partly blocked with tailbacks to Plumstead.
