Shoppers at Thamesmead will get the chance to eat their dad's face on Father's Day.

Morrisons is offering shoppers at its Thamesmead store the chance to recreate their father's face on a pizza base from June 15 until Father's Day on June 21.

The service will be available at the Thamesmead Morrisons pizza counter in Twin Tumps Way to encourage children to get creative with the help of store colleagues.

The supermarket have also teamed up with Britain's Got Talent food artist Nathan Wyburn to create five pizzas based on five famous celebrity fathers.

Mr Wyburn said: "I've created a wide range of food art over the past five years, but I have to say this is a new one on me, and a lot of fun.

I had 26 different ingredients to work with, the same as on the Morrisons pizza counter in Thamesmead, and I think many shoppers will have to think twice about what looks right and tastes best."

The pizzafied parents include David Beckham and Gary Barlow.

A Morrisons spokesman said: "This is the very first time our customers have ever been able to create edible artwork at our Market Street Counters.

"Everyone on the counter will be listening closely to customers, to get each pizza looking just right.

"We're pleading with dads in the area to allow their family a little artistic licence."
