Two men appeared in court today charged with burgling a 96-year-old man’s house.
Marco Mendez-Medina, 27, and Hector Suarez-Medina, 22, are accused of breaking into the man’s home in Monahan Avenue, Purley, at about 9am yesterday and stealing items including a watch and cufflinks.
Following a short hearing at Camberwell Magistrates Court earlier today the men, of no fixed address, were remanded in custody.
Their next court appearance will be at Croydon Crown on a date that is yet to be set.
