A 53-YEAR-OLD accused with the murder of her husband has been remanded in custody.
Elspeth Purton, of Piedmont Road, appeared at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on Monday April 9 charged with the murder of 67-year-old George Purton.
She will appear at the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing on July 16.
Mr Purton was found stabbed to death in Piedmont Road, Plumstead, at 10.50am on Friday April 6.
A post-mortem was carried out on Saturday April 7.
