Police are appealing for information after more than £5,000 worth of jewellery was stolen in two Eltham burglaries.

On May 19 a residential address in Glenhouse Road was burgled between 12.30pm and 2.20pm A Breitling Callistino watch valued at £2,000 was stolen along with other jewellery worth more than £3,000.

On May 20 a residential address in Strongbow Crescent was burgled between 1pm and 3pm.

Jewellery worth over £500, including a gold watch with a brown leather strap, of huge sentimental value to the victim, were stolen.

Greenwich Burglary Squad's Detective Constable Andrew Payne said: "If you have any information, however small, or noticed anything suspicious in or around Glenhouse Road or Strongbow Crescent, please get in touch with us.

"Some of the watches stolen are very distinctive, and have significant sentimental value.

"If you have come in possession of any of this jewellery or know someone who has, please get in touch. We will treat all information in the strictest confidence."
