A Bexleyheath market trader has been prosecuted after selling fake designer clothes.
Bexley Trading Standards seized 159 counterfeit items from 45-year-old Gulab Singh, of Latham Road, including trainers, tracksuits and hooded tops bearing false Polo/Lauren Company and Adidas-Salomon trade marks.
Inner London Crown Court heard that Singh had financial pressures including debts of £10,000, a £2,500 overdraft and a family wedding to pay for during a hearing between April 7 and 9.

He was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work to be completed within a 12 month period at the same court on May 7.
An Order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the items seized.
The confiscation hearing is due to take place on September 18.
