An unsolved Lee rape case is appearing on Crimewatch tonight to try in a bid to identify the suspect.
The attack happened in the early hours of March 8 when a 29-year-old woman was raped by a knife-wielding man on Ashwater Road.
The suspect, who fled in the direction of Baring Road, is described as a black man, 5ft 10ins and was wearing a blue hooded top, believed to be Adidas with stripes down the arm.
He was also wearing a sky blue bucket hat and black woollen fingerless gloves.
Detective Sergeant Corrado Di Mascio said: "This was a particularly nasty attack on a woman who was threatened with a knife being attacked in the street.
"I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit, or the description of the clothing to contact officers as a matter of urgency."
Anyone with information should call police on 020 8721 4676 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
Crimewatch will be aired at 9pm on BBC One tonight (May 26).
