Cheers echoed through Sidcup when police officers evicted travellers from Avery Hill.
More than 30 caravans, cars and trailers were moved from Avery Hill Road on Friday night (May 22) by Met Police officers.

Stephen Johnson, 18, who lives in nearby Merrilees Road said: "When I asked one of the police offers how long he'd been there for, he answered 'too long'.
"A huge round of applause and cheers were heard once the final caravan left."
"I was told to go f*** myself by several travellers."

Police were forced to close the road in both directions during the eviction.

A police spokesman said: "We called to reports of caravans parked illegally.
"No arrests were made and we are liaising with the land owner and the individuals involved."
