21 firefighters battled a house fire in Downham which destroyed two roofs.

Crews were called to Keedonwood Road around 4.30pm last night (May 22).

The fire ripped through the roofs of two terraced houses, badly damaging them.

No one was injured.

A fire engine with a hydraulic lift was used to pour water directly onto the roofs. 

MORE TOP STORIES Crews continued to stay at the scene damping down the area.

Four engines from Woodside, Greenwich, Lee Green and Lewisham attended, along with the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

The cause of fire is not known.
