Greenwich Council is awarding grants of up to £10,000 for community groups in the borough.
Groups can now bid for between £100 and £10,000 from the local authority's community arts fund, which allows organisations to work with professional artists.
Recent payments from the fund included £2,665 towards performers at June's Plumstead Make Merry festival - although the event is still trying to raise a further £5,000 after its main council funding was axed.
A £6,000 grant has also been given to Blackheath Halls for their Children's Opera Project.
Projects funded can take place between now and February 29 next year.
