Gravesend mum-of-11 Cheryl Prudham wants the NHS to fork out £2,600 for a caesarean when she gives birth to her 12th child.

Mrs Prudham, from Hampton Crescent, Gravesend, told the Sunday People she is tired of giving birth naturally and is booked to have the operation next month.

She told the newspaper: "I know a caesarean costs more, but I don’t care. It’s what I want – it’s my body.

"I know more about giving birth than most people and I don’t want to put my body through labour again.

She added: "It's so much easier to have a caesarean. Some celebrities say they are too posh to push so why can't I?"

The couple, who claim £39,000 a year in benefits, have also hit the headlines demanding to move from their current five-bedroom home to 'a more upmarket area.'

Mrs Prudham suggested that the council knock two houses into one to accommodate her growing brood, if there is not a large enough house available.

The couple split briefly after the birth of twins, Lacey-May and Lexi-Rose, in August last year, but reunited to have more children.

They also have Leon, four, Lenny, three, and Lainey, two.

Mrs Prudham, 33, is mum to George, 14, Jack, 13, Caitlin, nine, Maisie, eight, Millie, six, and Madison, six, from previous relationships.
