A Deptford care home has been rated 'inadequate' after inspectors found patients had not received visits, leaving one unable to go to bed.
Following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) unannounced visit, Sevacare in Evelyn Street was rated 'inadequate' for its safety and leadership.
A relative of one patient told CQC inspectors their parent had not received visits from the care staff on several occasions.
One incident included the patient needing help in the evening but Sevacare "couldn’t get anyone out to put her to bed", the report said.
The inspection also showed people were not assisted by care workers who understood their medical conditions and needs.
Patients were also at a potential risk from the unsafe use and management of medicines, partly because they did not receive the medicine at the times they needed them, inspectors found.
The report stated: "Care staff had insufficient information about risks associated with people’s medical conditions".
The CQC's deputy chief inspector for adult social care Sally Warren said: "Whenever we find a service to be inadequate, we will consider taking further action on behalf of the people who use the service."
Sevacare did not respond to requests for comment.
