Greenwich youngsters will be joined by a Strictly Come Dancing star at a singing spectacular this summer.

The Celebrate Royal Greenwich Singing Spectacular will include more than 400 primary and secondary school children on July 2 at the Royal Festival Hall.

Starting at 7.30pm, the concert will feature performances from Greenwich Gospel Choir, the Woolwich Poly Barber Shop, Plumstead Manor school choir, the Urban Community Choir and St Ursula's Chamber Choir.

Tommy Blaize, lead vocalist on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing will also be co-hosting the evening with Laura Baugh, assistant head of Greenwich Music Hub.

Head of Windrush Primary School in Charlton Sally McAvoy said: "To have our children singing at the Royal Festival Hall is not something that happens every day - we feel very honoured to be involved".
