Emergency crews tackled two fires in Thamesmead over the weekend.
Police and London Fire Brigade were called to the site of Thamesmead’s former library at Binsey Walk on Saturday (April 20) and a building site at Hartslock Drive the following day.
Nearby footpaths were closed as firefighters extinguished the flames at the former library at around 5.00pm.
Thamesmead police (@MPSThamesmead) posted on Twitter: “Fire at old #Thamesmead Library. Police & @bexleyfire on scene. Footpaths closed.”
On Sunday, crews tackled a skip fire at the Hartslock Drive building site at around 8.30pm.
