A man is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a night bus in Blackheath early this morning (April 19).
Police and paramedics attended the scene just before 5am in Prince of Wales Road at the junction with St Germans Place after reports of a N89 bus colliding with a pedestrian.
The man, aged in his early 50s, was taken to an east London hospital with head injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
Police say the bus driver stopped at the scene.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Catford are investigating.
Road closures were in place but have now been lifted.
