Parents across the Bromley borough had trouble finding out which school their children would be attending in the autumn yesterday evening (April 16) due to an IT glitch.

Bromley Council published a statement on its website at around 5pm warning parents and carers they would not be able to access primary school place results online following technical problems.

The local authority said offers would instead, be sent out by first class post and apologised for the inconvenience.

But the problem was fixed later in the evening and the results are available to view online now.

On Thursday (April 16) parents and carers across England received the results of their applications for places in state primary school reception classes for four and five year olds.
