A Bromley teenager has denied causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed when she was hit by a car in Abbey Wood.
Michael Philbert, 18, of Constable Mews, is alleged to have hit and killed Brenda Croke, 64, from Grays in Essex, while driving in Finchale Road on June 19 last year.
He pleaded not guilty at a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court last Thursday (April 9).
Police were called at around 11am to the roundabout with Eynsham Drive to reports of a woman injured following a collision.
Ms Croke was walking on the pavement with a male companion when she was struck by a black Range Rover.
The scene after the incident
Ambulance crews and an air ambulance were called but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Philbert is due to stand trial at Woolwich Crown Court on August 3.
