A yellow motorbike was stolen outside a shop in Orpington while the owner was in the toilet.

The distinctive Suzuki RMX450Z was taken around 4pm yesterday (April 13), from outside Robin Hood Motor Spares, in Windsor Way.

Clive Roberts, co-owner of Robin Hood Motor Spares, says his son owned the bike and turned his back for two minutes before an opportunistic thief pounced.

Mr Roberts said: "It had been alarmed and locked up until 3.55pm and my son had just taken the lock and alarm off to go home.

“He came back in to use the toilet and went to leave and it had gone."

He added his son had only had the bike on the road for a month before being stolen.

Mr Roberts added: "He’s quite upset; he only had it insured for a month.

"People say they saw it up Windsor Way later that day, and also spotted in Chislehurst High Street minus lights and registration plate.

"Hopefully we’ll get it back, but they’ve probably taken all the graphics off so it just looks like a yellow and white bike now."
