Waitrose staff in Bromley spiced up their shopping with their own spoof music video - but it has since been made private.

Around 40 staff at the Masons Hill store filmed the parody of number one hit Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson, featuring Bruno Mars, for the annual general meeting.

While the video was available to watch on our website, it was mysteriously made private denying thousands the opportunity to watch the lip syncing masterpiece.

It took them around three weeks to film with the help of staff member Joe Howard, and racked up more then 14,000 hits before being pulled.

Debuting their effort on Sunday (April 12) operations manager Kerry Farwell-Stacey said the three minute clip had gone down a storm - initially.

On Monday, when the video was still available, Ms Farwell-Stacey said: “It was a bit of fun, every year each branch holds its own AGM and in order to make this as interesting and engaging as possible this year we decided to do a spoof music video.

“We decided on Uptown Funk as its good fun and lots of people know it.

“This was the first time we’ve done it and we’ve had an absolutely amazing reaction, especially from the customers when we were filming it.

“We’re already talking about the next one.”

But when News Shopper asked why the video had disappeared, we were referred to the head office.

A spokesman for Waitrose said: "I'd imagine if it was intended for their AGM it may be why it's still on youtube but private."
