The family of a teenage girl killed by a train at a level crossing today spoke of their grief at the loss of their daughter.
Natalie Mulholland, 16, died when she was hit by a train in Springfield, Fife on Saturday night.
Her parents, Karen and Andy Mulholland, and "devastated" family paid tribute to the "lovely, bright, independent and vivacious girl".
Natalie was reportedly with friends when the accident happened on the Cults Mill crossing.
Tributes flooded on to her social networking Bebo site. One friend wrote: "It feels so unreal."
For safety reasons, the family has asked for any floral tributes to be laid at Springfield Parish Church.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal. There are no suspicious circumstances.
