MORTON gaffer Jim McInally today warned his Cappielow stars not to get caught up in any of the hype surrounding tomorrow's Second Division title crunch clash with Stirling Albion at Forthbank.

The Ton lead second-placed Binos by four points with a game in hand, but with seven games still to play after this top of the table meeting, Macca knows that win, lose, or draw, nothing will be decided at Forthbank.

He said: "What's most important for us will be to keep our composure and avoid getting caught up in any hype. Sure it is a big game but even if we were to win, we would not be out of reach for Stirling, so whatever the result, it won't be decisive.

"However, there is no question that we would like to win this game and for that we will require cool heads.

"Stirling will certainly be fired up for this one because, given our lead, it does have greater significance for them. But it is a game we are all looking forward to."

Morton will head for Stirling at full strength and determined to exact revenge for the 2-1 defeat they suffered back in November.

Macca has singled out twin threats to his teams hopes of opening up a seven-point gap. He said: "I have always been an admirer of Steven Bell - who is the engine in Stirling's midfield. They have also got David Bingham on loan from Gretna and he is a quality footballer and we must make sure both are well watched.

"But the bottom line is it will come down to what we do on the day and this is not a game we require any motivation for."

Stirling gaffer Allan Moore believes tomorrow's mouth-watering fixture is the ideal opportunity to pile the pressure on the Ton.

He said: "It's a huge game and if we win then we can really put some pressure on Morton and that is the objective.

"But even if we take three points it will still be a tall order to catch them."
