Robberies at petrol station and video shop

A PETROL station and a video shop were both hit by robbers yesterday.

A Securicor guard was pushed to the ground by a black man wearing a hoodie as he left the Esso petrol station in Links Way, Beckenham, at 12.27pm.

The suspect then grabbed the cash box he was carrying and escaped in a waiting vehicle.

The cash box was found dumped in Scotts Lane, Bromley, seven minutes, emitting a high-pitched alarm and red smoke.

  • Armed robbers targetted the Blockbuster Video Express in High Street, Penge, at 7.30pm.

An unknown amount of cash was taken by two black males.
