PARENTS of children enjoying a new play area challenged a man who was taking photographs.
The man, who was in the playground in Danson Park, Welling, last Friday, was accompanied by two women.
He claimed to be from a church group in Meopham who were interested in the play equipment and were planning a fun day.
One mum said the man eventually left the play area but continued to look for good vantage points from outside the playground, to observe and photograph the children.
The man was in his 60s and the women in their late 50s.
A spokesman for Bexley police said there were regular patrols of the play area by police and security wardens.
She added the parents were right to challenge people photographing their children without a legitimate reason.
