POLICE are asking a witness who provided details of a vehicle involved in a robbery to come forward and help with their investigation.
The robbery at the Tollgate BP Service Station, on the coastbound carriageway of the A2 at Gravesend, took place on January 9 at around 2.30am.
Lee Fudge, 21, of College Road, Margate was charged with the offence shortly afterwards and is currently in custody.
Detective Inspector Ian Dampier said: "We are very keen to trace this witness who supplied the service station staff with the registration number of the red Vauxhall Astra used by the robber as a getaway vehicle.
"He provided a key piece of evidence but did not give his contact details and we have so far been unable to trace him.
"We would ask that he contacts us at Gravesend police station on 01474 565091 as soon as possible."
