A reported stabbing outside a Woolwich pub was actually a fight leaving one man with a head injury, police say.
Police were called out to Thomas Street outside the Earl of Chatham this afternoon.
The incident sparked an online rumour that two Somalian men had an argument outside, with one stabbing the other.
But a spokesman for the Met Police said early indications showed it had been a fight rather than a stabbing.
One man was taken to hospital with a head injury.
