An Orpington woman watched on helplessly as thieves snatched seven dogs from her home on Sunday night.
Louise Harley, 31, alerted police after dognappers broke into an outhouse in her garden on Moorfield Road and pinched the animals at around 8.45pm.
The suspects stole a chocolate coloured Chihuahua named Whisper and her four two-week old puppies, a pug puppy named Elsa and a chocolate and white Shih Tzu named Dakota.
Officers believe the burglars climbed over a fence at the back of the property and forced open the outhouse door.

Miss Harley told News Shopper: “I heard the dogs really barking loudly.
“As I looked out, I saw two men carrying out cages from the garden. I screamed.
“They sped off in a van and nearly hit someone.”

But the Chihuahua managed to escape and the thieves, described as in their 20s, decided to dump her litter at the side of the road.

Miss Harley added: “They went to steal another litter of puppies but their mum managed to get away.
“She was really shaken up.
“They dumped her puppies out of the van and I recovered them from up the road.”
Miss Harley believes the thieves drove away in a red van and were accompanied by a woman.
The missing adult dogs are all microchipped.
