Two commemorative benches have been revealed to the public in Dartford Central Park.
The benches were unveiled last Wednesday morning (March 11) by Dartford Council leader coun Jeremy Kite in tribute to those who have lost their lives in conflict or are currently serving in the armed services.
The event followed a campaign for people to pledge support for the country’s armed forces – hundreds of Dartford residents added their names to the online forum.
Coun Kite said: "Our great country asks a huge amount of our armed services, just as we have done throughout history.
"These benches will be a fine addition to the memorial gardens in Central Park and I thank the hundreds of local people who took the time to pledge their support."
