A car flipped on to its side on the M20 on Sunday evening (Feb 22) leaving a man with facial injuries and a woman with injured ribs.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service firefighters and an ambulance crew were called to the scene between junctions 1 and 2 on the Londonbound carriageway, between Wrotham and Swanley at 6.38pm.
The pair were eventually released and treated by paramedics.
A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: "We sent two ambulances and three cars to the scene but the two patients were able to get out of the car by themselves fully conscious.
"A man in his 50s was treated for facial injuries and a woman in her 60s was treated for damage to her ribs.
"They were both taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital."
