Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was sexually harassed on a train travelling between Shortlands and Orpington.

Inappropriate sexual remarks were made to the boy, who is under 16 and was travelling alone, at around 5.40pm on January 26.

British Transport Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Officers say the man pictured boarded the train at Shortlands station and got off at Orpington.

Investigating PC Alexandra O’Leary said: “Understandably, the victim, who is under 16, has been left distressed by what took place.

“We take this kind of behaviour extremely seriously and I would like to hear from anyone who recognises this man, or has any further information which could assist the investigation.”
