Police have renewed an appeal for information after a 17-year-old boy was brutally attacked twice by a group of teenagers in New Ash Green.

The boy reported that on January 12 five males threw rocks at him before punching and kicking him.

The attack is alleged to have happened in Ash Road at around 4.30pm.

The victim reported a further assault on January 23, when a group of six teenagers forced him to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him.

He was also stamped upon.

The assaults are reported to have taken place outside Ash House in Ash Road, as well as in Centre Road, between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Offiicers would still like to speak to the driver of a van, who helped the victim during the first incident.

He sounded his horn at the offenders and then shouted at them, causing them to run away.

PC Swift said: ‘We believe that some of the offenders are likely to have been involved in both of these incidents and it is very important that we speak to anyone with information.

"I would like to appeal directly to a man on January 12 who drove a grey van which had blue writing on the side, which the victim thinks mentioned a car wash.

"He may have taken a photo of the offenders and kindly checked on the victim’s welfare before leaving the scene."

Two women who came to the victim’s aid during the second incident are also being urged to come forward.

One of the women told the victim she was 26-years-old and is believed to have reprimanded the offenders.

A second woman also stopped at the scene in a white car and engaged with the victim before driving himhome.

PC Swift added: "We know that there were several people who sounded their horns at the offenders.

"Your information could be crucial in helping with our enquiries."
