A murder investigation is underway and 11 people have been arrested after a fatal shooting in Thamesmead.
Police were called to Erebus Drive to reports of shots fired at 4.30am is morning (February 1).
While on their way to the incident, officers came across two cars - a dark blue Ford Focus and a grey Audi A3 - with three men inside on Western Way.
One of the men in the Ford was suffering from gunshot wounds.
The London Ambulance Service attended and the victim, in his 20s, was taken to a London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6.30am.
The two other men in the cars were not arrested, but police have arrested a further 11 people who are currently in custody.
They include two women, aged 26 and 24, along with nine men aged from 19 to 25.
Road closures were in place at the scene this morning and also at Western Way near Belmarsh.
