A hooded man threatened to stab a walker and other people in Thamesmead yesterday (January 27) but managed to escape to safety, it is claimed.
According to a witness, the woman was walking down the street when a man deliberately bumped into her.
He then pushed her into a bush and claimed he had a knife.
She managed to push him away and then knocked on the door of some nearby homes for help. It is claimed the man then started yelling: "Get them out as well. I'll stab them as well."
Police confirmed they were called to a common assault at 2.50pm yesterday in Goldcrest Road.
Officers from Greenwich are investigating.
