Two Chislehurst builders have been fined hundreds of pounds after pleading guilty to creating "unacceptable noise".
Festim Xhebexhia and Kreshnik Xhebexhia, of White Horse Hill, breached a notice restricting when noisy building work could be carried out.
The duo was served a notice on September 30 last year limiting the hours in which construction work could be completed.
This was after Bromley Council officers saw them working out-of-hours.
The notice limited noisy building works to between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays to minimise disruptions to neighbours.
But on October 5 a Bromley Council public protection officer saw the pair in breach of the order carrying out work creating "unacceptable noise".
The men pleaded guilty at Bromley Magistrates’ Court to breaching the notice and were fined £300 each plus a £30 victim surcharge and ordered to pay £447.50 in costs.
Coun Tim Stevens, executive member for public protection and safety, said: "The council act in such cases to strike a suitable balance between protecting neighbouring properties from undue disturbance and allowing reasonable hours for potentially noisy construction works to be completed.
"However, where our requests to keep the works within the guideline hours are ignored, the council has no option but to resort to formal legal action."
